Leonard Nimoy, Spock of ‘Star Trek,’ Dies at 83
Feb 27th, 2015, 4:28pm

Leonard Nimoy, the sonorous, gaunt-faced actor who won a worshipful global following as Mr. Spock, the resolutely logical human-alien first officer of the Starship Enterprise in the television and movie juggernaut “Star Trek,” died on Friday morning at his home in the Bel Air section of Los Angeles. He was 83.

His wife, Susan Bay Nimoy, confirmed his death, saying the cause was end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Nimoy really was so inconic and unforgettable...one of the most known faces worldwide ever...be you a fan of Star Trek, or not, you will always be remembering him...

I remember him at a Star Trek Convention in Kensington in London (UK) some years ago, maybe it was in 2003, or in 2004, and he was really a myth in person, very calm and quiet when talking to the people assembled in the wide room, and he appeared just as calm and quiet as Spok used to be in some ways...
