Tough Negotiator by George Schaade
Sep 03rd, 2012, 7:02pm

George Schaade is a wonderful writer. He just is. If we were living in the dear old pulp zine era, where writers' work was exposed to thousands of fans on a regular basis, George would be recognized as an important sf/f writer.

Well, I'm sure he is today, just not by as many people due to the changes in reading habits -- not because of any lack of worth on his part.

BTW, he has written the cover story for Whortleberry Press's forthcoming Strange Halloween book. It's called "Clothes Call," which is just as good as "Tough Negotiator," in a different setting.

Bravo George!

Thanks for the kind words, Jean. I was raised on pulp and comic books so I know what you're talking about.  :)

Aha -- I knew it! A good education pays off, for sure. I mean the kind you get from pulp and comic books!

Phobia by J. K. Brennan

Extremely well written. If you did _not_ have a phobia about insects before reading this story, you very likely have one afterward. That is what I call good writing!

Bravo, Brennan. Hope we see you again in these pages.
