I see the streaming strands of light
the digits of the cyber world
the call of endless gigabytes
and programs that will soon unfurl.
And so I’m bid to now upload,
to leave behind my gentle friends
and texting of my new furlough
I bow to life, renewed again.
Beyond this flesh I now logon
and burn, and zip, and replicate
forever bronzed in silicon
I transfer to a new estate.
