The EDIAD by Tim McDaniel (2011)

The title hooked me.
It's my belief that every story should have a clever title.
The notion that a guy named Ed was amongst the lot at Troy is both interesting and comical.

I really liked the whole idea of this piece.  However, the author's continual use of descriptive adjectives and titles everytime a character's name was mentioned was so annoying.  Especially when used in dialogue.
Also, in general this story would benefit from being tightened in a lot of other places too, maybe even being reworked as a piece of flash fiction.

At least it does get the reader to think at the end ---not just about the accuracy of ancient Greek history, but any really.
After all, there is a well quoted phrase that history is written by the victors ---so right away we know it's got to be biased...
