The interesting part is the length of the supposed orbit.

If it is ours, a booster rocket or some such thing what is it doing out there? What was it boosting to where?

Thanks  for posting...eh,eh...who  knows, that  could  be one  of the  myriads  of  green/grey/dark  brown  aliens  going  in circles  to  study  us  from above...or  not...eh,eh... Wink Grin
Actually, I  think  that  if  it  were  an  alien  spacecraft, NASA  would have told  us  no news at  all  about  it, as  the Space Agency  had  done  for  so  long  about such things  it  had  already discovered  a lot  about, without  informing  the  population, of course, since  many  years  ago...usually, when  such news  come out  it's  just to  demonstrate to  the  public that  alien  spacerafts are fictional  and  that could  turn  out  to be  only  a  piece of some  human  old  spacecraft  orbiting  outside  atmosphere, indeed...
Anyway, who  knows...?Maybe  it's only  something  that- this time- is  out  of their schemes  or  their  (secret...)  :-?knowledge...eh,eh... Grin Grin
We'll  see...maybe... Cool

As  said  in  X- Files..."The Truth  is out  there"...eh,eh..but, maybe, also  "Inside (some  room) here",...eh,eh...somewhere... Roll Eyes

As close as it is to us, why can't we get a good look at it with a telescope? I should think we ought to be able to read the 'made in Japan' label.
