Submissions for 2010 closed; Open for Submissions for 2011
Dec 01st, 2009, 5:43am

Anotherealm has closed submissions for 2010. We will be announcing our lineup for the coming year sometime around Christmas (probably between Christmas and New Year's Day). Some statistics for your information:

Total stories submitted (in acceptable format): 289
Stories rejected for gross errors: 201 (approximately)
Stories rejected for other reasons: 22 (approximately)
Stories that required a little more work: 8
Stories that required more than just a little more work (but showed promise): 27
Stories accepted at first reading: 10

Thanks to all who submitted tales this year. Our submission period for 2011 begins at once. To those whose stories suffered gross errors: keep trying! Proof read a bit more carefully; buy Elements of Style and read it; don't give up! To those whose tales just missed: read successful writers. Get Writing Prose: Techniques and Purposes and read it. Join a writer's group. Don't give up!

Thank you for another terrific year. With your great stories and readership, anotheralm will remain among the class of Internet ezines. Best wishes to all during this holiday season!

Gary!

Your e-mail address (or at least the one you gave me when you joined The Fictioneers) rejected my first and only Fictioneers group e-mail (with blind carbon copy BCC).

Do you have a new e-mail address? Please send it to me at shadaa1@mac.com

Otherwise, please adjust your settings so as not to reject my e-mail address. I promise not to spam you!

Thanks!

Gary,

Congratulations on making it through that many submissions. That's a lot of short stories to read.

I think this software thinks that the letters "W" + "O" + "W" stands for World of ... (So it thinks its SPAM.)
