I had to chuckle at the ending.

Nice build up to the ending. She sounds like such a nice girl, relying on karma and the universe.

Your thoughts?

Well-written and interesting story. My only quibble is that it hard to classify it as SF or fantasy.

True, Ahmad, but I think it qualifies as speculative fiction (at least I hope so). In some ways it reminds me of one of my favorite Star Trek episodes: "A Piece of the Action." And the story is so well written I couldn't resist.

CHAINS AND HALOS -- what an outstanding story. Well thought-out, well-written, and follows a fantasy trail that is rarely trodden. At least not as successfully. Hope this writer returns with another equally outstanding story.
