Title: Shake by J. Michael Shell Post by gschaade on Sep 1st, 2013, 9:51am Brilliant! I was deeply impressed by the masterful use of words. Similes and metaphors were edgy but stirring. This story was poetry and science. Whitman and Tesla would both get it and be impressed just as I was.

At first she is offered a Pepsi and says, no. She is at that point, a liberal because she's getting disability. Later she says she'd rather have a Pepsi...maybe she's getting a little darker.. I don't want to spoil the story for anyone who hasn't read it yet..am I reading too much into this?

T. “Oh!” Maryanne chirped, startling herself. “I know who you are!” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla%27s_oscillator All kinds of fun stuff in this story.
