Title: Re: Ray Bradbury, Master of Science Fiction, Dies at 91 Post by Gary A. Markette on Jun 6th, 2012, 7:19am Farewell to, perhaps, the greatest sci-fi writer of all time. As I recall, Bradbury won our "field of 64" contest a few years ago over such notables as Asimov, Tolkien, and Clarke. My favorite Bradbury work was "Something Wicked This Way Comes," but I enjoyed all of his stories. I mourn his passing, but his light will gleam forever. |

Title: Re: Ray Bradbury, Master of Science Fiction, Dies at 91 Post by gschaade on Jun 7th, 2012, 7:46am My favorite is "Fahrenheit 451". It taught me that a good story can be just for fun, but it's even better if there is a deeper message. I spent many hours thinking about this story. Thanks, Ray. |
