Title: Fictioneers Honors Mailed Out
Post by MikeH on Mar 10th, 2010, 7:43am

Tah Dahhhhhhhh!

I just got back from the post office, where I mailed out 7 packages, internationally, via air mail, and 35 packages, domestically, via first class.

42 talented writers (who are members of THE FICTIONEERS) will soon be receiving a Fictioneers Membership Badge, a Fictioneers Member Card, a Fictioneers Membership Certificate, and the ultra top secret Fictioneers Club Handshake, Password, and Countersign.

Jeff, dude! You're my first confirmation on package receipt. I hope the cardstock certificate holder wasn't bent.

And now, you are a "card-carrying member" of The Fictioneers.

Glad to hear you got it, Jean!

And remember, use your vested Fictioneers power wisely when displaying your beaded Membership Badge.   ;)

I have to agree that awesome is too mild of a word for it all.
More like impressive, amazing, stupendous, fantastic, shock and awe etc.

Just got mine. I called my son and told him all about it. Of course, he was envious. I especially like the Latin motto. Very cool!

Hey Adrienne. Glad to hear you received your "honors!"

Out of 42 packages mailed out, I'm only waiting on receipt confirmations from five members.

Six people have told me they are going to frame their Membership Certificates under glass.

Having recently received my membership materials, I agree with all and add my thanks. Now, let's see . . . what more can we do about this? Any chance of a Fictioneers convention, perhaps? Just throwing it out there; any ideas? If a "live" venue is not possible (too expensive), maybe an "online convention" of some sort can be set up. Internet gurus, your thoughts?

I've added a private board to the BBS section. You have to be a fictioneer to see it or post on it.

But I don't know how many members are registered on this site. So the ones that I do know of are now a member of the new group and can see the new board.

If you are a member and cannot see the board reply here and I'll get you added to the private board.

Thanks!
