We have ~~three~~ four annual cash prize awards that we like to give away each year.

The Annual Editors Choice Award

The Editors Choice Award is an annual award from Anotherealm.com to the writer of the best full length fiction of the past year as picked by our Senior Editor, and writer in his own right Gary Markette. The cash award is raised by donations received from our readers in appreciation of the stories that our writers present.

The Annual Goldberg Horror Fiction Award

The Goldberg Award is an annual award from Anotherealm.com to the writer of the best full length horror fiction of the past year as chosen by popular vote in honor of dgk Goldberg (2005). The cash award is raised by donations received from our readers in appreciation of the stories that our writers present.

The Annual Higney Fantasy Fiction Award

The Higney Award is an annual award from Anotherealm.com to the writer of the best full length fantasy fiction of the past year as chosen by popular vote in honor of our Fiction Editor Gene-Michael Higney (1949-2003). The cash award is raised by donations received from our readers in appreciation of the stories that our writers present.

The Annual Goldstrom Science Fiction Award

The Goldstrom Science Fiction Award is an annual award from Anotherealm.com to the writer of the best full length science fiction of the past year as chosen by popular vote in honor of our Editor Emeritis Jean Goldstrom. The cash award is raised by donations received from our readers in appreciation of the stories that our writers present.

Sadly, in the past we have not always gotten enough donations to actually award our awards. So we didn't give them out at all.

With a recent generous donation to our awards program we re-visited the idea of the awards. We realized that we should award them every year, cash prize or no.

This year is a cash award year!

How to vote
Pick your favorite fantasy or horror story from the past year and vote for it in the poll in this section of the BBS. One story per category please. Get your friends and family to vote for your story if you wish. IP logging is enabled so only one vote per IP address.
